The search is over! The ‘Triple Dutchers’ from Kingston, London have been crowned Britain’s best Double Dutch skippers after wowing the crowds and judges in the Double Dutch Challenge Grand Final, held over the weekend at London’s Trafalgar Square.
easyJet and The Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions launched a competition to find the most talented Double Dutch skippers and after searching the country far and wide, shortlisted four lucky teams to compete for the title and win the ultimate prize of a city break to Amsterdam plus iPods.
The finalists from Scotland, the Midlands and Kingston strutted their stuff in front of thousands at Trafalgar Square and wowed the crowd and judges with their creative, fun and original routines.
After a thrilling final Georgia Toay and brothers Harry and Sam Cross from the ‘Triple Dutchers’ piped the ‘Mini Jets’ from Studley to the post and were crowned the Double Dutch Challenge Winners 2011 and scooped the much coveted prize of a city break to Amsterdam and iPods for the whole team.
